Our mission
Keeping the state informed
The Carolina State News Network exists to keep the state informed. We report from the scene, broadcast the moments that matter, and give every department, business, and resident of Carolina State a platform to be heard — accurately, professionally, and without sensationalism.
CSNN is the in-character media department of Carolina State Roleplay. Our reporters, anchors and camera operators are players — the stories, quotes and events you read here happen inside the server, not in the real world.
Standards
How we operate
Four rules every CSNN crew works to, on every assignment.
Accuracy first
We confirm before we broadcast. If a detail is not on the record from a department or official, it does not go to air.
Stay in character
Every story, interview and bulletin is written in-universe for Carolina State. We never break scene for a headline.
Respect the perimeter
Crews stage where responders tell them to stage. Coverage never interferes with an active scene or another player's roleplay.
No sensationalism
We report what happened in a plain, professional tone — no invented drama, no rumour, no targeting individuals.
